Description

The GT7404 provides a low cost solution for supplying controlled power to interface and test target circuitry. The GT7404 supplies +5V, +12V, -5V, and -12V power outputs present on the GTXI motherboard to be switched through a DB25 connector for use by the unit under test and interface circuitry.

Features

External Inhibit- The external inhibit is a TTL compatible input that removes all voltages from GT7404 outputs.
UUT Discharge - Optional areas can be populated with UUT discharge components. Each of the four relays on the board can switch the UUT load between the GT7404 outputs and the discharge components.
Prototype Area - The GT7404 provides an 8 row by 90 column prototype area on 100 mil centers. VCC, +5VDC-OUT, -5VDC-OUT, and -12VDC-OUT are present in the prototype area.

Configurations

The GT7404 is configured with four relays that apply or remove voltages to a DB25 connector. Each voltage is fused and an optional UUT discharge component may be added.

Connections

Connections to the GT7404 are made using a standard 25-pin, D-type male connector. One mating connector is provided with each GT7404. Jumper blocks on the GT7404 connect the measurement signals to the GTXI local bus. Signals on the local bus include: +5V Hi, +5V RTN, +12V Hi, +12V RTN, -5V Hi, -5V RTN, -12V Hi, and -12V RTN.

Programming and Software

The board is supplied with a 32-bit DLL driver. Various interface files provide access to the DLL from programming tools and languages such as ATEasy, LabVIEW, C/C++, Microsoft Visual Basic®, Delphi, and more. The available virtual panel can be used to interactively adjust and control the card from a window that displays the card's current settings and status.
An On-Line help file and PDF User's Guide provides documentation that includes instructions for installing, using and programming the board.
