3U PXI Instrument Module

Description

The GX1164 is a 3U PXI programmable resistor module with 4 channels of 16 resistors each or 8 channels of 8 resistors each. When used in the 4-channel configuration, each channel can simulate resistances from 1Ω to 64KΩ with 1Ω resolution.

Features

The GX1164 can be used in multiple configurations. The following configurations are supported:
4 Channels, 1Ω to 64KΩ, 1Ω resolution
2 Channels, 1Ω to 128KΩ, 1Ω resolution
1 Channel, 1Ω to 256KΩ, 1Ω resolution
2 Channels, 1Ω to 64KΩ potentiometer with a wiper, 1Ω resolution

The GX1164 includes an on-board EEPROM that contains calibration data. The EEPROM can also be used to “personalize” the GX1164 for custom resistance ranges and resolutions.

The driver provides a library of functions that are used to control and change the instrument settings from within your application. The instrument driver is provided for the Windows operating system (32 bit DLL). In addition to the driver library, various interface files provide access to the library from your favorite programming tools and languages. These interface files support ATEasy, LabView, LabWindows, C/C++, Microsoft Visual
Basic, Delphi as well as other application development environments.

Programming and Software

The board is supplied a 32-bit DLL driver. Various interface files provide access to the DLL from programming tools and languages such as ATEasy, LabVIEW, C/C++, Microsoft Visual Basic®, Delphi, and more. The available virtual panel can be used to interactively adjust and control the instrument from a window that displays the current instrument settings and measurements.
On-Line help file and PDF User's Guide provides documentation that includes instructions for installing, using and programming the board.

Applications

ATE systems
Event timing measurements
Sensor simulation and emulation
Automated calibration and alignment
